About Me!

Hi! My name is Debby, I have 3 children, my sons Kelly (22), Kerry (17) and my daughter Kacy (19). I also have three grandchildren:  Alli, age 2, Nichole, 2 months and Devin, newborn.

I have experience with children forever it seems. Raising my own, I was a stay at home Mom for 15 years. I was on the board of directors of several preschool programs in Manhattan when the kids were very young, from 1988-1990.

I was an assistant in the computer lab at Central Elementary, Wamego from 1996-1999. I was a 4-H leader (Foods and Nutrition) in Wamego from 1996-2000. In Topeka, I taught foods and nutrition in after school programs and as a special speaker during the day in the classroom. This was from 2000-2002.

My husband and I have taken training necessary to become foster parents and are currently waiting for our license.

I am CPR certified, have a certificate in First Aid, and am certified in ServSafe…a food safety certification. I am a member of ERC in Topeka, and I am also an SRS provider.

My passion is and always has been working with children.
